Overview

Where Law and Innovation Meet

At Epstein Becker Green, you’ll build a career at the intersection of workforce management, health care, and life sciences. Since our founding in 1973—and across offices in key markets nationwide—we’ve taken an industry-focused approach to counseling, litigation, and regulatory work. From day one, you’ll contribute to high-impact projects across firm and client initiatives for organizations ranging from emerging companies to large enterprises, with access to mentorship and training and clear paths to expand your skills and responsibilities. You’ll join collaborative teams grounded in respect, inclusion, and practical problem-solving—so you can do your best work and see the results in real client outcomes.

Our reputation is reflected in independent rankings and awards, but we measure success by the impact you can make and the colleagues who help you make it. Our model supports cross-office collaboration, modern knowledge tools, and opportunities to explore adjacent practices and industry issues as your interests evolve. If you’re seeking a place to do sophisticated work, learn from supportive colleagues, and build a career with flexibility and purpose, look to Epstein Becker Green.

Responsibilities

The New York office of Epstein Becker & Green is accepting applications from 1L students interested in participating in the Firm’s 1L Diversity Pipeline Program and returning for their 2L summer as part of the Firm’s 2027 and 2028 Summer Associate Programs, in the Firm’s Employment & Labor Workforce Management practice. Students who accept a dual 1L/2L summer offer will receive a $10,000 bonus upon successfully completing their 1L summer with the Firm.

Because the number of joint 1L/2L summer positions is limited, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply separately for the 2L (2028) Summer Associate Program at the same time.

EBG is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace filled with the best legal talent.  With this in mind, the mission of the 1L Diversity Pipeline Program, established in 2014, is to identify a pipeline of 1L (first-year law school) students who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion, life experiences demonstrating their ability to overcome or help others overcome challenges to pursuing a legal career, or the potential for positive impact on the legal community’s ability to address such issues. Participants in the pipeline program will contribute to the Firm’s Employment & Labor Workforce Management practice while gaining valuable professional and real-life experience with EBG lawyers and the Firm’s clients through project assignments developed specifically for this unique experience.

EBG’s 2L Summer Associate Program is structured to provide a comprehensive picture of the practice at the firm as well as significant training in substantive areas of our core practices – Employment, Labor & Workforce Management, Health Care & Life Sciences, and Litigation and Business Disputes. We strive to make our Summer Associate Program our primary source of new associates. Summer associates are assigned a broad range of projects that otherwise would be performed by junior associates. Additionally, summer associates get the opportunity to work on client projects, including opportunities to be on client calls and to sit in on client meetings; pro bono projects, such as attending a pro bono intake clinic; and client development projects, including coauthoring articles and client alerts and assisting with presentations.  To learn more about Epstein Becker Green's Summer Associate Program, please click here.
